Living As A Cancer Survivor - Cuomo Stands Tall Against Corona

Regardless of where you travel to in the last few weeks, you cannot get away from the evolving threat of the Corona Virus. In situations such as this, often the wisest decisions are not the most popular.

A point of concern for me is whom to believe. Being engaged to a woman who earned her doctorate in Nursing from the University of Alabama, I am privy to a higher level of information than most of the public.

What is starting to concern me is the general lack of cooperation between parties in our government.

Here in New York, like him or not, Governor Cuomo is one of the foremost leaders in spreading valuable information to his inhabitants.

My opinion on Governor Cuomo's politics is inconsequential. When the you-know-what has hit the fan, much like Mayor Guiliani on 9/11, Cuomo is showing he has the best interests of the citizens in the state he governs.

What has he done? For starters, he has inmates producing hand sanitizer. He recognized that New Rochelle likely has the largest cluster of the virus in the United States. His cadre established a containment zone in the Westchester County community to stop the spread. He delayed the New York International Auto Show (from April to August 28-September 6), along with canceling the March 15th New York City Half Marathon.

In times like this, it is always better to error on the side of caution. I pray that the worst of this pathogen has materialized; however, if it hasn't, we need more leaders to take the strong stance that Governor Cuomo has.

As a resident of Long Island, I thank you, Governor, and I pray your decisions are a deciding factor in saving lives.
