Living As A Cancer Survivor - Personal Tragedy

I want to take a moment to share my gratitude to anyone who supported this blog and reached out to encourage me. On June 17, I began writing with the hope of giving survivors or current patients with something they can identify. I intended to add new posts twice a week.

The week of October 14 is the first week, which I will now only add one entry per week. The reasons for this are personal.

Speaking of personal, I briefly would like to address how other personal tragedies are not immune to cancer survivors. Having the experience of making it through certain death does not make you an expert in dealing with the everyday disappointments of life.

I sincerely apologize that I am pressed for time and promise in the weeks ahead to plan my posts in a more efficient way. However, I want to keep my promises to post a blog on Wednesday since I said I would.

I'm dealing with difficult situations myself, so I ask for your understanding and well wishes. Most of my personal tragedies were self-imposed. Some things you cannot convince someone or something that has faced their own difficulties. You can't get around the consequences of said choices.

Financial issues are something that has risen to an alarming level recently. They can be just as if not more devastating than those dealing with the death of a loved one or ending of a relationship.

Death is something none of us can avoid. It can show itself in an obvious way or in a similar way. The hope you get from someone who inspires the best of you because of their love and imagining your life with them can also create part of you to die if that ends. Not being able to pay bills and allowing your mind to destroy any positive thoughts is another example of death you can face. Since many of those situations involve children and those you are responsible for, that also can trigger destructive thoughts that cloud your mind.

This is a sensitive topic. I'll end by saying this. If you are facing these situations and a survivor of this disease, I send positive thoughts and hope you receive support to help.
