It's easy to go wide, but difficult to go deep. Regardless of your own history with sports or life in general, if you listen to the podcast, read his book or go to see Mark speak live one thing is clear: you'll learn something new.

My Scars Tell a Story
By Mark Everett Kelly

“Living As A Cancer Survivor”

My blog “Living As A Cancer Survivor” is now up and will feature posts every Monday and Thursday. Each post will be up by 3 PM EST. It centers on the emotional, physical and mental challenges we face everyday. The fear we live with everyday is crippling and I and others need help.

“MY SCARS TELL A STORY” - MY PERSONAL NEVER-ENDING BATTLE AGAINST CANCER”

In July, my book “My Scars Tell A Story” was published and is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and through my publisher. For those of you dealing with treatment, reading about my experiences and how many times God rescued me from certain death I pray inspires those who need hope.

It is a short read and deals strictly with aspects of my life before diagnosis, when I was diagnosed, treatment, transplant and a brief description of how life changed for me.

“A MOTHER’S PERSPECTIVE”

My mother - who was there with me throughout my roughest days and always fought with me, wrote a chapter called “My mother’s perspective”. Any parent who is watching their child suffer through treatment can really identify with my mothers thoughts.

WHY I SPEAK, WRITE, BLOG & WHAT MY GOALS ARE

After years of doing except dealing with incredible lower back pain from radiation along with the constant onslaught of lower right leg pain due to lymphedema, I was inspired to stop feeling sorry for myself and find a way to help those suffering from the side effects of pediatric cancer treatment, mainly chemotherapy and radiation. Most days I feel like a constant burden to my family.

Simply put, I want to do all I can to show others who believe in me and support me that I will not be a victim and never give up in what I can do to help others that suffer like I do. I desire to get off disability and be able to earn a living inspiring others through my book, blog and public speaking.

YOUR HELP WILL CHANGE MY LIFE

In today’s society it’s not easy to ask for help. Everyone is skeptical and they should be. I need your help to survive and not be a burden to others.

Whenever you give to anything you want to know your money will make a difference. Every cent you support me with changes my life. It helps me afford a place to live, food and to sustain my blog, writing and the opportunities to reach others with my story. It is not everyday that you know what you donate is having an everlasting, life-changing effect, but by donating to either my Go Fund Me or Patreon page, you are teaming with me to help change not only my life, but the lives of others faced with the side effects of treatment.

I started this website to help in my battle against the side effects of cancer treatment I suffered when I was younger. It is my goal to educate those on the dangers and harmful side effects cancer survivors deal with from the chemotherapy and radiation that destroy so many good cells and create other life threatening diseases, like the Crohn's and Lymphedema I deal with now because of the treatment. For more on my story, please see click on Mark's Story.
